I am excited to share that I have committed to being a missionary with the World Race! I am so grateful for this opportunity to pursue the Lord like I never have before. To dedicate my 2025 entirely to Him is such a blessing, one I cannot wait to begin!

For some time now, I have felt that there is something more I need to be pursuing, something beyond my usual job and day-to-day life. I have come to realize that this feeling is a new desire in my heart from the Lord for missions. I started researching what this could look like for me, a 20-something-year-old with little missionary experience beyond week-long service trips with my church. I found the World Race, and it caught my eye because of its emphasis on how diverse the experience will be, how long it will run, and how I will work within a team. I’ll be going to six different countries and serving in so many different ways, from working kids’ camp to street evangelizing, from grocery shopping to church planting. I am drawn by the opportunity to see what it could be like to serve God in so many different ways, and which of those ways enable me to serve to my full potential. On top of that, the World Race enables me to spend 11 months on the field. I have always felt that if I am going to do this, I am going all in, and that looks like as close to a full year immersed into missionary work as possible. I am also excited about the opportunity to work alongside other Christians my age who also have a heart for missions. To be on mission with other believers is such a blessing, and I just wouldn’t be as confident on my own. I can’t wait to be a part of something bigger than myself!

Through prayer and conversations with fellow believers, He made it clear to me that the World Race is His next step for me. I’m ecstatic to see how God is moving in other parts of the world and how He will move in my life. I am scared, too, to pack up my life and start new on the other side of the world, but God has made it clear to me that He has called me to this, and where He guides, He provides. I am overjoyed to be in a position to help those less fortunate than myself and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with whomever the Lord places on my path.
