I have never been poured into the way I have been over this past week. God has blessed me beyond my imagination with community in my squad, messages from speakers, intentional devotionals with Him, caring and insightful leadership, and a refreshing sense of his presence, all compacted in to the last five days. I needed this.
I am feeling like myself here, and it only took me a day and a half! Praise Him for this community that seeks after His own heart. I cannot wait to go into the field and pour out what He’s been so faithful to pour into me. His love, His power, His tender care, His realness. I am overflowing. Praise God!
He is so good. And He has changed my life. I am unapologetically His. I’m on fire for Him and I cannot wait to go to our first country, Thailand, and start doing the good work He’s set aside for me and my squad to do!
As much as I am excited to pour into the people I will meet overseas, I am also beyond grateful to pour into my squad mates and for how intentionally they’ve been pouring into me. If you don’t know, my boyfriend, Adam, passed away suddenly almost two years ago. Adam and my grief journey are huge parts of my testimony, and I would not be here on the World Race if it weren’t for his passing and his influence in my life. I had the opportunity to share that with my squad as we were sharing our testimonies, and they were beyond gracious to me. They listened so intently and I could see their hearts breaking for me, like how God’s heart breaks for what breaks mine. They were so affirming and afterwards they all laid hands on me and prayed for me. It was such a powerful experience and I could feel God solidifying this community around me. I know they will stand by me as I face my grief journey throughout this year, and they will hold me up when I can’t stand on my own. We did a group hug, and I just felt so heard, seen, and appreciated. I’m grateful to God for pouring into me through this new community of believers, and I can’t wait to pour that right back out on to my squad as we continue to share our individual testimonies.
God is already moving in incredible ways. I’m so grateful to be a witness and a participant to His work. I can’t wait to see how He will continue to move. I know the good work that He’s started in this squad, He will see through!
